The Swaminarayan Complex is a large Community and Event Center in South Auckland which is fast becoming manifestations of the shared vision of the Kiwi Indian community.
The Swaminarayan Complex Community & Event Center was established to develop, promote and conserve the rich heritage of Indian and Kiwi cultures as well as support cultural activities from all communities and ethnicities in Auckland and New Zealand.
Built in 2021, this magnificent Community & Event Centre provides economical options to host weddings, conferences, corporate functions, private life celebrations, performances, exhibitions, social and community events of various magnitudes in Auckland. Easily accessible from motorway 1 as well as motorway 16, the venue is centrally located with an easy commute from any part of Auckland.
Several large and small rooms are available for hire. The banquet function rooms are equipped with large LED screens and the best of the breed Audio Video and Lighting equipment to give the events a special touch. The facility also allows for live relay of the events to social media or other platforms as desired. The banquet rooms can accommodate more than 700 people in one session and allows for multiple seating arrangements.
Corporate events or conferences requiring smaller breakout room, or spaces for concurrent meetings up to 25 people are also available for hire. These are equipped with portable large LED screens for online collaboration and meetings. The garden room allows for beautiful indoor-outdoor setting for smaller conference venue or high tea. An alfresco forecourt is designed for any open-to-air evening events with ambient lights.
A perfect venue for weddings and celebrations of life events, the Swaminarayan Centre presents a beautiful blend of the modern with the Indian architectural heritage. Beautiful garden surroundings and grand granite entrances, antique statues provide for several photo-shoot venues.
The adjoining Swaminarayan Temple which is a landmark of Auckland graces the venue. Several Indian Weddings have been blessed in this pious environment. The temple with its beautifully carved ceilings and pillars, the granite floorings with marble inlays and the divine murtis of the Lord adorning the finely carved alter imparts heavenly experience and has been featured in several of the New Zealand iconic images. It has been ranked as one of the must visit destination in Auckland.
The Swaminarayan Complex is also equipped with an ultra-modern professional grade, stainless steel kitchen that provides for in-house catering of quality vegetarian cuisine for more than 800 patrons at any event. The professionally trained chefs cook pure vegetarian delicacies adhering to the best of the food hygiene and heath practices.
Separate large dining facility can seat 700 + people in one session, making the venue as a perfect destination for large weddings and celebrations which needs separate dining facilities to allow for concurrent activities.
Several secure car parks can be availed for the events including basement parking with easy access to elevators to ease physically handicapped patrons as well as for equipment transfer. In addition to the Swaminarayan Complex car parks, off street car parking across the entire stretch of Kolmar Road, Wilmay Avenue and Wentworth Ave allows for more than 200 car parks.
